Westerbeke 4-107 fuel line - where to buy or fix?

Hi All,

I'm looking for the (steel) line pictured. Mine has a tiny pinhole and leaks when running. Alternatively, what about having it welded (or other suggestions re repair)? I am in SF Bay.

Thanks,

Evan

You will have to make one or have it made in a machine shop.

Or try to silver solder patchs over the holes ! which can be done but Its a lot easier to have one made as DeepFrz sugested above ! I would only solder it if I needed to fix at sea or a remote ancorage! just my 2 cents

Any shop that rebuilds Diesel injection pumps should be able to either fabricate or obtain one. The first place that comes to mind is Diamond Diesel in Oakland. You can also contact British Marine in Oakland. They are a Perkins dealer and know your engine inside and out.

Trans Atlantic Diesel is likely to carry an OEM replacement as well. I'd try the local vendors first.

I found S&W Diesels in Wilmimgton to be much more affordable including shipping and faster than the Bay Area Perkins dealers. Solder will probably last until it forms another pinhole somewhere else.
Carl at Nelson Yahcts had a whole 4.107 to sell really cheap, it had been submerged in fresh water. If you want other extra parts it might be worth it and you could have that FI line cleaned at a radiator shop, it would be almost as good as new.
