I used three of them on my tanks, two on aluminum inspection plates and one on a normal sender plate with the same bolt circle (replacing an old swing-arm unit). I just lined it up as specified and it worked great (with cork gasket). I can imagine it would be bit tricky installing in a tank opening without an inspection port... is there a problem?

Is that the one with the 5 screws and one is longer than the rest, so you put it on first, then slide the ring through the hole and put in the other 4 screws??

I used this one. It was easy to install in an existing removable inspection plate (see photo below).

Install the first screw thtrough the threaded flange and the interior mounting adapter, before twisting the adapter into the tank. Then “fiddle” the remaining screws into place, then tighten.

I was not happy with the screws they include......three of them "galled"....it may have been the threads in the under-rings......all the holes lined up fine, but after starting them with my fingers, they seized up about 1/2 way in.....Oh well...the senders are in and tight.

Silver threads among the galled... that can ruin one's whole day! I always dab on a bit of anti-seize when using stainless fasteners.

The Wema sensors are great... so far very impressed. Much better than the old noisy swing-arm things, and they play nice with the Maretron TLA-100 module that interfaces them to the NMEA2000 bus. Here's the display that has replaced my clunky old analog gauge with three big honkin' pushbuttons plus one for backlight... the new gauges represent port and starboard wing tanks at the top, and the larger aft tank at the bottom.
