Way too much corrosion.. help

My boat sits in brackish water. I have a constant problem with major corrosion in the bilge and on the engine parts. Just this last summer I put in two new carbs, two new fuel pumps, and already they are both covered with this white, powdery corrosion. What can I do to stop this?

A couple of pictures attached. It seems everything in the bilge gets a coat of rust or white powder on it quickly.

Re: Way too much corrosion.. help

You have a bad case of galvanic corrosion. The major things to check...

1) if the boat is on shore power you probably need an isolator
2) is the boat bonded? To what
3) state of the anodes. Remember in brackish water you need aluminium not zinc, you might also want to look at going to magnesium (fresh water) to help control the issue.
4) dissimilar metal contact. I doubt this is a problem because the corrosion is so rapid.
