Wanted: Yanmar 2QM20 Tachometer and Sender Unit (or replacements)

Hi,

I am trying to locate a tachometer and sender unit for my Yanmar 2QM20H.
I have been told they by Yanmar dealer that are no longer made. I would like to locate a replacement or equivalent units.

The service manual lists them with the following Yanmar part numbers:
Tachometer: 104571-91100
Sender Unit: 128170-91160

The same manual also lists them as VDO part numbers:
Tachometer: 430.230/019/001
Sender Unit: 340.804/007/007
VDO no longer lists these part numbers either.

From my research, I think I can use a number of aftermarket Tachs that will take output from magnetic sender units, but I ham having difficulty locating a sender unit.

It seems to have the specifications of:
Metric threads: M18 x 1.5
Number of ring gear teeth: 126
Module: 2.54
Tachometer frequency: 7350 Hz

Can anyone help me out or suggest how to find replacements?

There is also some mention of attaching Tach using the alternator, but that may require upgrading the alternator. Any thoughts on that would be welcome also.

A little elate to the reply here. but others might find this helpfull as well.

I am looking for the exact same stuff for my Yanmar YSM12G engine.
I have found the the number of the sensor have been changed to now be
128170-91160 (replaces 124070-91160)

The VDO sensor is a little bit more difficult and I'm not 100 % sure but it looks like from my research that this should be a match. VDO 340 804 007 002A

The VDO is way cheaper than the Yanmar one, so I might wanna try that out first.

I bought this magnetic sender

for my Yanmar 2QM20. It works great with a tach that is made for a magnetic sensor. The tach came with a refurbished panel I bought from Ebay also.

One side of the sensor goes to the "send" from the tach. The other terminal goes to ground. Doesn't matter which.
