Volvo Penta 2030 Temp Sensor

I am looking to install temperature gauges on my 2001 Lagoon 410 and have a compatibility question. The previous owner had left a set of Teleflex temp gauges onboard and I would like to use these if possible. I ordered the Teleflex temp sending units and they will not fit because the threaded port it goes into is has metric threads. The Volvo Penta temp sending units that do fit are 70 bucks apiece! Now here's the quandary...Will the Volvo Penta sending units work with the Teleflex gauges? If not the Volvo Penta gauges are 170 bucks each! Can I get the temp gauges/senders that will work for me but not Volvo Penta branded? Thanks in advance...Sid

Get a machine shop to make a couple of adapters. I'm quessing they will be cheapest, especially if you buy a couple of BSP reducing bushes that will suit the sender and they just need to machine a metric thread on the outside.

You can get adapters in some hydraulics shops too. Only if senders are smaller than holes though ;-)

Compatibility? A pot, hot water, some wires, a thermometer and that's that.

That's a great idea to get a machine shop involved. All that would need to be done is to thread the existing plug to match the Teleflex sensor. The plugs are large enough for this to work. Cool..
