Hi Chaps,
Anybody know what the nominal fuel consumption ltrs/hr is for a volvo 1O horsepower? No reference to it in my workshop manual

Ahh there are many factors to take into consideration here.

1 Revs per minute

2 against the tide

3 with the tide

However all thing being equal and you have nice clean fuel and filters at 1500 RPM you would expect to get around 1 litre of diesel per hour.

At 2500 RPM you could expect to average 1.5 liters per hour.

Many thanks Rivonia - it is a ball park figure I was hoping for - like you, I have 2 engines but with two 50 litre tanks. OK, If conditions are ok but if all is foul, the consumption needs a careful watch
