Vibrating Volvo 2003T

We have a saildrive Volvo 2003T in our 39ft Challenger and it runs beautiful. Lately I noticed vibrations at Idle only. It is getting worse too.
It doesn't do that when the revs go up.
Somebody told me to have a good look at the mounts. I can't really see anything bad.
Does anybody have other ideas?
Thanks
Reiner

Re: Vibrating Volvo 2003T

That's one of the problems, there are few ways of telling other than by age. When were they last changed? I would suggest a decade is good going before they need replacing and do sit down when you see how much they are.

Ours were changed by the previous owner so I need to go through the receipts to find out when but I suspect they will need changing in the next couple of years.

Visually check the mounts will accomplish little. Put a probar under the engine mount feet and see if there is any movement. Do not try prying up on the pan......what is your idle speed?
