vetus waterlock-how level is level?

Have a smaller boat, 27' Mirage, the Vetus waterlock, installed when re-powered with Yanmar YSB8. Waterlock runs close to midships, installed close to center line and what i get from manufacturer it is installed correctly. My concern, and it may not be valid, is the waterlock does not sit level bow to stern. because of position and curve of hull. There is room to build support to make it level and changing hoses etc is no big deal. There is also room to do this. Wondering if anyone can weigh in with opinions if level or not is a big deal? It's working great as is, so i may have my answer already. .............Too many 40 knots and rainy days, too much time crawling around changing wires and looking for things to do...........................
