Today is the 15th, not the 14th. The day you lose track of time/dates while cruising is the day things start to look up!

Re: URGENT, Raw water pump not working!
BTW, I suspect you just sucked air in and that's why it quit pumping. 180-200 is normal operating temp for a diesel, and the overheat alarm usually doesn't go off until over 210.
Depending on the hose run and volume of waterlift, it can take 5-10 seconds to get water flow again. If starting from cold, your engine will run fine for 10 minutes or so until it gets too hot, so don't be afraid to wait 10 seconds for water flow.

Re: URGENT, Raw water pump not working!
Take the impellar cover off and turn over the engine. Have someone visually ensure the impeller is turning. If it is not remove the raw water pump and check pump/engine raw water pump shaft adaptor.
Had this happen to me once and the pump and the adaptor were worn so they both had to be replaced.
What kind of engine is it?

Westerbeke 30. Manual says "If the raw water pump is not pumping this should be investigated immediately." DUH!
The shaft is turning since the first time I removed the impeller the key was vertical and the next time it was horizontal.
It is 6:52 on Sunday, I am the only person in the marina.

Oh yes, just for jollies, the heater is not pumping now either. I'll fix that tomorrow.

No I did that before and the result was inconclusive, going to do it again. See if I can pump water into my bilge.

if you can try sucking some water thru before turning over the engine, not very nice but at least you will know the pump is primed
