Transmission shaft V-ring for Volvo MD2B

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a replacement V-ring for my MD2B. It's goes around the transmission output shaft and says "V-ring V-100 Pat." on the side.

Anybody know where I might be able to purchase one of these? My Google-foo is failing me.

You don't even tell us what country you are in...

If this is a simple rubber seal with a v-shaped corrugation in its side (I have such a seal in my windlass, and it is called a "v-seal" IIRC) most bearing and seal vendors can source them for you, even here in the land of Oz. Take the old one with you...

The seal which you are referring to is a simple V ring designed to protect the actual oil seal located behind it. As Jim Cate mentions you can find these at most any bearing and seal supplier. Measure the outside diameter of the output shaft as they will need to know that diameter. You dont need exotic material here...nitrile will work fine.

Push comes to shove you can always go to a VP dealer to get it.
