throttle selector not functioning

For some reason the engine goes into reverse gear normal, but no throttle can be selected.

The throttle lever only goes as far as gear selection but no further.

Note: The Forward gear and throttle works perfectly fine.

We've removed the cover from the throttle control at the helmsman's position to check the throttle levers/cables. It appears okay there with levers not interfering with the housing.

Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.. thanks..

your cables have another end. make sure that other end is connected and no kinks or tight bends in your morris cables.

Cables stretch and go out of adjustment. If the leaver moves full range probable needs re-setting up. If the leaver wont go back somthing is jamming the cable. Not in the pump or it would not rev in ahead

Re: throttle selector not functioning

thanks Roland. It does feel like something is jamming but can't see anything obvious. We'll pull things apart a bit further and see what else we can find.
