Suzuki DT2 No Spark

I have a little Suzuki DT2 that has no spark. I have not cranked this engine is several years. I finally got it apart and the flywheel off and the coil looks like it has been hit with a punch right about in the middle of the coil. Does anyone have a DT2 they are parting out? How can I test the coil to see if it is bad and if that is the problem? Thanks for any help.

Re: Suzuki DT2 No Spark

Gord May - Thank you for the good link. I have attached a link to a picture of the coil on flicker, DT2 coil | Flickr - Photo Sharing! . Notice the imploded spot. What would that be from???? It looks as though I have about 2 ohms on the primary and infinite on the secondary.

That looks like a condenser, not a coil!

ETA: Duh, nevermind, I'm on dial up and the whole picture didn't load when I responded and I only saw the condenser!

No problem. Thanks for looking. It is not looking good if the coil has to be replaced. Does anyone have a DT2 they are parting out? Other wise, I may be parting this one out.
