Survey blues

We are currently under a subject to survey purchase contract for a 1982 36' Searay powered by twin 220Hp Perkins diesels.

We just conducted the survey and sea trial. The vessel itself being rated in "fair" condition by the surveyor. Would have been better were it not for the several osmotic hull blisters which became the center of attention during our pre Sea trial short haul. (some as large as 4") the majority being 2" and smaller.

Not my greatest concern though.

We also had oil samples taken from both engines and transmissions as well as the generator which I have attached.

We are looking for opinions from this group as to how to interpret what we have been provided and ultimately how to proceed.

Thank you

Re: Survey blues

I didn't even Look at the oils analysis reports, because without a history of reports they are meaningless, and even with history they are of little value.
Yes I have decades of SOAP reports with managing fleets of aircraft. You would tell more by removing and cutting open the oil filters.
However I'd walk on the blisters
