I cant seem to get a win at the moment. After getting
water in my cyclinders which I still have the
head off I now have a problem with the starter.
I actually bought a new reconditioned one as I thought the old one had **** itself.
So I have a brand new
battery bought today with 660 cca. I have brand new 220amp
battery cables going to the starter. I have the positive hooked up to the positive on the battery and the other one hooked up to the negative on the battery. The negative one also has a cable that runs from the solenoid into the starter. When I put another positive cable to the ignition pole I can hear the switch throw the cog out but she doesnt turn. I have tried crossing the - and + at the solenoid to see if the
motor will spin up and all I get is a tonne of sparks.....Buggered if I know what to do?
I have tried without the negative and also just tried grounding the negative on the block but then i get nothing.
Any suggestions?
