Here's a link to a previous CF thread about marine fuel hose.

The pump has Stewart Warner 12V2401 stamped on in. I'm finding a lot of mixed information on this so I'd need to investigate further before I replace anything.

Ugh... Well I got the pump working. I needed to clean a bunch of black gunk out of it. However, it still won't deliver any fuel to the engine. It rattling up and down dry, trying to pull fuel. More tear down tomorrow. We'll see where it leads

Paraphrasing ABYC H-24, (Gasoline Fuel Systems):
Hose (flexible, gasoline fuel) shall comply with the requirements of “UL 1114" or “SAE J1527", and shall be so marked.

Labeling on fuel hoses also includes:
- classification of resistance to fire, either “A” for fire resistant, “B” for not fire tested (for outboard use only)
- fuel permeation, either “1”which is the highest permeation requirements for gasoline distribution and return lines, or “2,” a less-stringent requirement commonly used for gasoline fuel fill and vent hoses, and all diesel hoses.

Re: Starboard Engine Won't Start - Crusader 270 @ Trojan F-36

Use A1 and use the one with the nylon barrier liner, that wont get ruined by E100 %

black junk gunk means the rubber lines are disintegrating and or the tanks are filthy.
Old boats when you put in new gasoline E10, the E10 loosens up all the tank crud and it goes everywhere. Then those varnishes plate out all over the fuel system and the interior of the engine including the intake valves. when that happens the valves get sticky or stuck. E10 sorry to say for the older gas systems is a big problem.
