Repowering a Tartan 30

Has anyone replaced their Atomic-4 on a Tartan 30 with a Yanmar 3YM30?

I am looking to replace our a-4 and my research has shown the previous series, 3GM30(f) installed as a 'drop-in' , but was wondering if the 3YM30 has been used in this application as a 'drop in' as well?

Its a 1973 Tartan 30 with the original freshwater-cooled engine. Any advice would be great!

I did a quick search. The following looked interesting:-

Re: Repowering a Tartan 30

Boracay, Thanks for the quick response, I had run across the Tartan 30 organization page, and it is a great resource, but it was pricing and the engine model from 1997. I was wondering if anyone had done this exact same repower on a tartan 30?

Thanks again!
