Interesting. My hypothesis: the double filter system and associated plumbing creates more vaccum than a single filter system and thus gases come out of solution.

Be interesting to know the vaccum readings for single vs double filter system.

One thing I did before setting off to test the new Racors, was to install the old Racor back in it's old location & run the engine. The result: small champagne bubbles in the plastic cup just like the new Racors. I guess I just never noticed them before; they only appear when the engine is running above 2000 rpms and never in the Racor servicing the Gen set. I guess there's something new to be learned everyday.

I've never noticed on mine either....guess I'll have to look closely at cruising RPM now...what do we cruisers do all day? ;-)
