Ours is a Yanmar 4cyl turbo 75hp with a max prop. When under sail and after killing the engine, we simply put our transmission in reverse for a second and back to neutral position. This eliminate any noise or vibration coming from the shaft or the propeller. It also avoid starting the engine with transmission in gear. Have done this for the last 9 years with no issue nor problem.
Our inconfort is when we motor sail with the main up where we usually get a vibration at 2500 rpm. We will have our techniciens look at it this winter.
