It's a scam. If you hit the prop on something you would definitely be aware. That prop is old and it's falling apart due to corrosion.

Tell him that you will pay him if he can find the log with a corresponding nick in it.

Folks... if there is a dispute with a vendor we ask members to work with them, the BBB or get an attorney. Cruisers Forum rules prohibit a "name and shame" in matters such as these.

Giving advice on how to handle the situation is great, though with all free advice it is worth what was paid. We do, however, draw the line there.

Just wanted to post a follow up. Charter company called yesterday and said the prop shop told them the wheels were too old to do anything with and the charter company and the owner decided to buy new props and were not going to charge me anything. Sounds like to me the prop guy told them exactly what was posted on this board. Well done guys. Thanks for your help!
