One would not want fuel filters that come apart in that way.

Is that center piece metal, painted or what? The hoses also seem too large to be fuel unless it were a scrubbing system.

And I do see some green around one of the hoses, which would indicate seawater.

I was wrong. It's a Perko strainer. Probably model type 0493. Somebody painted it for some reason. Maybe Sailorchic visited that boat some time in the past...no, it's not painted purple.
