Powering a c and c 38

I bought a c and c 38 at auction and need to get it over to a marina for hauling. The boat is currently in a slip at a Marina. I was wondering what might be the best way to get this boat out of the marina and if i don't want to immediately get work done on the diesel, what are suitable alternatives? Ex. Transom mounted motor?

Yes and a 9.9 hp should do it. Or have someone you trust tow you.
