Perkins Prima M50 - Imperial or Metric

Hi all,

I'm just trying to figure which tools I can take to Turkey within my measly 30kg baggage allowance. My socket set is SAE and Metric, which set do I want for a Perkins Prima M50? What range of sizes will get me by?

Thanks in advance,

Steve Garlick

Re: Perkins Prima M50 - Imperial or Metric

Hi Steve, I also own the same engine and although I have never had to do any major work apart from normal servicing,l have only ever used metric tools. The normal range 10mm through to 21mm should cover most of the work you would need to do but if you have specific work that you need to carry out, let me know and l will check the sizes for you on my donk. Do you have the workshop manual for the Prima M50 ?

The manual is on the boat in Turkey, a bit far from me in Australia!

Thanks for the information.
