Perkins Prima 50 Oil Pan

My old 1990 Prima 50 engine has died but I have found a new low 1996 hour engine. They are the same engines but a 500 series for agriculture or industrial applications. I can remove the heat exchanger from the old and bolt right onto the new engine with the same holes.

My question is the oil pan is shallower on the new engine - will I have to switch pans and pump on old for marine application due to healing?

Any other problems that I may run into?

The pan is about 1" - 1.5" deeper on the orginal engine. My guess is that it holds the same amount of oil but in just in a different shape. The spec book does not show different pans for different uses of the Prima 50 just industrial, marine, or vehicular.

Any thoughts?
