Hi all, I have a perkins
4-107, which thru some discovery has various 108 parts
on it. Anyway, I'm doing some servicing and was going thru the fuel
system and removed the secondary fuel filter
. In the replacement kit there is one small o-ring and I can't remember where it goes. I see two obvious choices, 1) under the head
of the long bolt that holds the head, filter and lower bowl together, but there is a copper crush washer there. Which actually doesn't make to much sense because there really should be that much presssure on this bolt becuase it's only holding the unit together, and in the manual it says not to 'over tighten' this bolt, or, 2) the lower bowel has a grooved milled in it at the bottom end of the female thread reciever for the bolt named above, but I can see how this would 'seal' anything it shouldn't come in contact with any other surface. I search the i-net for a diagram and cannot find one. Any help would be appreciated from the group.
