Perkins Coolant Bubbles

I have a Perkins 4108 that runs great but the other day I noticed some dried coolant bubbles around the hoses that go in and out of the heat exchanger. Engine runs great and temperature is perfect at 170-185.

Any ideas???

Sounds like a typical seeping leak from around the hoses. You can either just tighten the hose clamps or... do it right.

Pull the hoses of the heat exchanger in/out tubes and wipe the connectiions down and maybe even use a little fine grade sandpaper. Put a little gasket sealant on the in/out tubes, slide the hoses back on and clamp tight. No more leak!
