Perkins 4154 Parts Available

As the proud owner of a Morgan OutIsland 41 foot, I had to re-power from my Perkins 4154 engine.... But when I bought the boat, it had an incredible surplus of spare parts.... On switching engines, i took off all the accessory items, knowing that they were good and should find a new home. So if someone wants lots of spare parts.... oil cooler, injectors(s), injector pump(s), heat exchanger, starter(s)... then contact me. Actually everything but the engine block has been saved and it's time to find it ALL a home.

Hi you guys, if Sunset kid has sold all his parts and you still need bits you can obtain spares for Perkins engines from the people who make them for Perkins, contact Part4engines.com another good source for Ford, Perkins etc is Lancingmarine.com speak to Mike Bellamy, he's a mine if information on marine engines. Yet another source is AsapSupplies.com

Not sure either of those sources carry 4154 parts. Very few available anywhere these days. 4108 is a whole other story plenty of parts available.

Sunset if you still have a fresh water cooling pump Im interested. PM me.

SV Demeter, Those company's carry parts OK but if you prefer you can contact Engnetglobal.com a US company, they sell full or part rebuild kits, their webpage also gives part numbers, valve clearances and fitting tolerances etc. There are still many 4154's working and spares are not a problem.

I must be doing something wrong all I see at Engnetglobal.com is a link to a search engine for engineering companys and when I search under Perkins 4154 nothing specific comes up. I have spoken in the past to folks from Trans Atlantic Diesels, JT services, and a few other parts suppliers and they have all told me the 4154 parts are harder and harder to find with many NLA.

I would suggest you try Mike Bellamy at lancingmarine.com quite a few canal boats in England use this engine, I would also try your Perkins main dealer, many of these diesels were fitted in light trucks, forklifts and combine harvesters and the only difference is the marinising parts, all internals are exactly the same.

For those who need Perkins parts for old engines ie the Perkins 4154 there is a company that specialises in getting old/obsolete parts for Perkins in the UK who are mainly agricultural but may have, or be able to acquire and ship to you the parts you need pvdobson.com/parts .
I presume that you have already contacted Perkins Engines direct ?

I need a head for a 4-154, myself--just found out Tuesday. Thought the gasket was gone, but ended up being a bad head. Valve train looks good, so if anyone knows of a head or bare casting, I could sure use it. Rebuilt heads were around $1,400 at the two places I found so far. I'm in Florida.

I have a Perkins 4.154 that I intend to rebuild, however, age, health and workload may prohibit that. I will sell parts or the entire rebuildable engine.
I have pulled the head for inspection and all is okay. It is the early model with no glow plugs.

OR, if someone is in dire need, I will rebuild for $5,995, no trans.
