Perkins 4108 losing prime after setting a week

I have been having a problem that I have not been able to remedy. My Perkins 4108 will lose prime after setting idle for a week. I have replaced the fuel cutoff valve, the sierra fuel filter with a Racor and the lift pump. The hose is leading to the lift pump is only five years old. It looks like the day I installed. I have let it set for at least three days and the engine cranks with no problems.

Anyone out there that have experienced similar problem and solved the problem?

Any suggestions for next step?

I fought the same issue on a different motor, my issue ended up being the fuel cutoff valve packing was allowing the fuel to slowly drain back to the tank. You might check your fuel pickup line if you haven't already. Good luck.

Thanks, I will take a look at pickup. I have already replaced fuel cutoff valve.
