Perkins 4.154 Thermostart

I've got a thermostart on my Perkins 4.154 and I'm trying to figure out how to connect it. So far I'd say positive and negative off the battery. Positive through an impulse switch and both to a solenoid relay. Now I'm stuck. The thermostart has one large blade (easily a quarter inch) that appears to be for a connection but that is it. I would have expected positive and negative terminals.

Maybe. Does this imply that the ground is internal to the unit?
