Part for Yanmar Engine Needed - Possible Serious Future Problem

When I bought my 1996 Hunter Passage with Yanmar Engine 4JH2-TE engine I realized the former owner had not repaired a small salt water leak from the impeller housing. The drip had gone on for years and the ARM that extends out from the engine casing to attach to the motor mount is in a serious rusting state with rust actually attacking the engine block slightly. I view this as a serious problem and would like to replace this arm (arm bolted to block and attached to motor mount)
Could someone please give me advice where to find this arm or leg whatever you want to call it.

Thanks for your reply. James

Re: Part for Yanmar Engine needed possible serious future problem

First take a wire brush and clean the rust off. Then take a close look at how badly engine the mounting bracket is rusted. If the rust damage is less than 20% of the thickness, coat thesufraces with Ospho or other rust converter, then spray paint with paint that matches the engine color--it will look almost new.

If its really that badly damaged, any steel fabrication shop can duplicate it.
