I suffer from engine envy...definitely congrats.
I need to replace a Westerbeke 30BTHREE on my Caliber 35 and am looking at Yanmar, so it is reassuring to hear the good comments. I don't pretend to understand all the info for selecting a new engine, plus repairs to the stringers. But one of the biggest challenge is determining how to find the right "someone" to install it. I've spoken to 3 different folks and gotten 2 different quotes from US$12,500 to almost $18,000, and I'm looking for where to buy an engine...maybe I can still find a 2008 model. Clearly I still have some homework to do. If anyone has info for the Annapolis, MD USA area, please let me know.
