I found those less mess also. store the oil right in the pump container until you get rid of it. An electric plumbed in permanent is the best but amazingly expensive. No easy answers but I wouldnt put that one you pictured in... messy and leaky. Good idea to renew or replace the nice little brass one if that's what you have. They are awful slow and tedious though.
