New key

Good Morning,

We are down to one key for our Tartan 3500 with a Volvo Penta diesel engine. How/where can you get another key made? Can they be copied at a local hardware store? Is there somewhere to order another one?

TIA,

Tina

Re: New key

Take it to a local locksmith and find out. I tried one to duplicate my Yanmar key. He had suitable blanks in stock.

I removed my key switch, still not sure why they provide an engine key for a sailboat. I replaced it with a toggle switch inside the cabin by the companionway.

Re: New key

I will check with a locksmith, thank you.

Also, thank you for the welcome!

Lastly, too much work to replace things. Except for the key, that is.

Blue skies!
