Ok, ask yourself this. How would a business compete in a market if they purchased an assembled engine
and then spent time and money
over the initial cost pulling it apart, replacing components and then rebuilding it? Just doesn't make economical sense unless perhaps you're building racing
What happens in reality is that the manufacturer supplies engines to the specifications of the buyer. Don't want a flywheel, exhaust
manifold, starter or alternator
? No problem. Want a governor or different injection system? Sure, if on the specification list. Engine
doesn't provide the right power and torque or options for the application? Move to another model or manufacturer.
