OK, so I installed a brand new D2-40 7 years ago.....
Install went well was running great, on to the rest of the
interior re-fit. Then life got in the way
Got married,
buying house, fixing house's, selling, etc.
So now I'm ready to get finishing the sailboat.
Unfortunately the last time I ran the
engine, I didn't shut the
fuel valve off
The tank sits above the
engine so there is
head pressure. When I went to get it going the sump was FULL
I got it all drained out put new
oil in, but it didn't wanna start, and it seems
fuel is getting into the sump again just from trying to start the engine.
The
lift pump has been by-passed, so it's going in via the pump/manifold
My dealer is not sure, called
Volvo, they are not sure,....so just wondering if anyone knows where the fuel could be getting into the sump or has any idea's before we pull the fuel rack & start scratching our heads.
