Question Need advice on impeller pin installation

OK, I am stuck! I had to replace the pin that goes inside the impeller on a 1984 Yachtwin (Evinrude) 7.5 outboard. How the heck does that pion get inside the impeller on the shaft??? I can't make it slide on while in the impeller.

help!
