Need a low volume but strong gear pump

Any one have any ideas on where i can find a gear pump that is low volume, 60GPH +- but can pull 1-1.5 meters vertical and 2 meters horizontal for fuel transfer.

I bought an expenisve Marco gear pump and it doesnt even come close to doing what it advertised.

I have a couple of Jabsco junior gear puppy pumps but they put out too much volume for the filer to work correctly.

Suggestions?

That Marco pump should work. Did you wet the innards with fuel? Out of the box dry, that kind of pump will not self prime. Nor after a period of non-use.

Yup.... primed it with a jerry can sitting at same level.

Double checked all the connections on the manifolds, just wont do it.

Even tried diverting the fuel hose direct from the keel tank to the pump instead of through the selection manifold.

Wouldnt pull from the tank, and the specs i gave in the previous post are way bigger than the auctal run!

Mount the pump lower. Lift is never a good thing.

Re: Need a low volume but strong gear pump

Take a look at the Reverso 311. I think it will do what you need.
Reverso Gear Pump 311 Series Light Duty Mfg# GP-311-12V

Actually their 211 pump might be better. It is rated at 1.5 gph vs the 311 at 3 gym.

If you want to buy one, I'd love he chance to quote you.

Grundfos (USA) pump. I have a pair of these in my home to circulate water through the hydronic heating system. Very low flow, silent, low voltage.

Re: Need a low volume but strong gear pump

Only helpful if you need to purchase another unit or compare specs. If you need to find one as indicated in your first post. Could be a option as they will deliver outside Aust.
Cheers.

Re: Need a low volume but strong gear pump

Look up "scavange pump" on Ebay.

I'm using a small 12v unit for the oil cooler on my hotrod. About $60
