Need a diesel "intro" for the Admiral

We agree she needs to know about fuel systems and bleeding lines and changing belts and impellers and such "stuff", but if I give her a book on diesel engines she will never read it. So I am thinking a 2-page "primer" on diesels, basics on fuel, cooling systems, that kind of stuff, might help her understand what an impeller does, why it needs clean fuel & air, all that sort of stuff. I think with some basic understanding of "why", she will be better equiped to learn the "how".

Any thoughts on where I can find such an overview?
