Re: Nanni Diesel Parts in USA?

Wow, here is another one of those post we frequently get. If you want to save a lot of money, never buy anything that says ''Marine'' on it if you can help it. Have you gone to your local Kabota dealer. They put Kabota engines in everything. Tractors, mowers, backhoes, skid-loaders, boats, on and 0n. And yes, if it is only available for marine use (I doubt it), I damn sure would adapt a Fram or some other filter to work. This is something you need to replace on a regular basis. Adapting a filter should not be hard to do.

Sounds scary, but not particularly relevant to this small Kubota engine. Mine, at least, contains the fire within the cylinders!

Anything old and worn out "Detroit" could run backwards for two to three cylinders after shutdown, this effectively turns the intake into exhaust. Not likely with a 4 stroke engine.

I never had the problem with the 671s but do recall the breathers seemed to be packed with brass wool. I can't recall who the John Deere engine was made by. It was shot and would belch. Only bought it to put in a road, gave it away after that.

Re: Nanni Diesel Parts in USA?

Take it into a NAPA, 99% of all filters sold are made by someone else and re-branded. Framm Baldwin WIX etc, they will most likely be able to cross refrence it.

Alternatley try Filtermart or others on the web which specialize in cross ref bigger brands like Parker

There has got to be a better source for Nanni parts in the US. Any suggestions?

I have N4:40 engine and my understanding is air filter is empty plastic air baffle there is no removable or replaceable filter parts. I replaced with the following. Rubber boot connected to engine in replacement of plastic baffle 90 degree elbow short peace of pipe with filter attached close to top of engine compartment.

Not only cheaper but likely an improvement over OEM.
