number one is finding a free shower with all the hot water you want for as long as you want it....

I bought a new Merc 3.5 hp 4 stroke in 2010 and it never did run right. I finally bought a new carburetor (for over $200) and it ran like a champ! The new carburetor was a different design than the original. I hated to spend the money, but it was much less than a new motor. I also put a very small in-line fuel filter between the shutoff valve and the carburetor. The fuel strainer in the fuel line is next to worthless. Both Yamaha and Honda have the very small fuel filters.
