Long Term Gasoline Tank Lay-Up?

What is the best way for me to set up my 25 gallon cylindrical gasoline tank for long term storage, ~3 years. I emptied the tank through the fuel tube however this leaves a residual amount behind. I am worried that this small amount will evaporate and coagulate. When I refuel I will have gum or varnish floating in my fuel plugging up the system.

I cannot get a hose down the fill tube to vacuum out the remaining fuel with any confidence.

I am in a 4 seasons climate so the tank, which is monel, will also be accumulating some water.

I ran the engine out of fuel before I hauled.

Should I just hope for the best or is there something that could or should be done?

If you can't suck it out through the fill tube, Sta-Bil should keep it liquid for a couple of years. Even so, you should flush it with xylene or acetone a couple of times before refilling it with Gas.
