Lagoon 410 Transmission cable

Owner of a lagoon 410, 2002, does anyone changed their transmission cable to bridge and if so what is the stock number or the length of the cable, please reply asap.

I changed the port side one on mine a few years ago. Sorry I don't recall the length ... of course it will be different on each side.

You don't need to go for Lagoon parts. It's a standard Morse cable and any boat workshop (including outboards) should be able to get one for you. When mine failed in Brisbane, the first place I called had one in stock. It was about $50. In theory, some places can repair them, but that is usually dearer than the replacement.

So I suggest you pull the old one out and measure it ... a cable slightly longer would work as well. Before you pull it out, tape a wire or cable to the end so you can pull the new one back the same way.

I found it easier to remove the panel under the helm as well as the panel in the wall of the port aft cabin. It's not a hard job.
