re: In-Line Electric Fuel Pump for Bleeding?

You could always fit a outboard priming bulb, no electrics to cause problems.

I recently put one on each of our two Yanmars. Really makes bleeding easier. Have been thinking of the electric option, but the bulb is so simple.

Re: In-Line Electric Fuel Pump for Bleeding?

My 2 cents worth! As an aviation mechanic, all aviation fuel pumps have a bypass passage with a check valve to prevent reverse flow. Is it possible that marine fuel pumps are similarly constructed? When the engine is running with the fuel pump OFF, fuel flows through the one way bypass passage.
