You know I will need to get some new clothing to replace the grease / oil soaked jeans and tops.

I'm still looking for the non marring and more importantl non-slip stilettos. Hard to find at west marine... Think they are missing a whole line of female attire....

Well ok I did a bit more work on the engine. Got the timing cover, crank pulley and injector pump installed.

Not bad for my first diesel.

Ah babe, you made your first screw-up. Note the black sections between the purples on the stilettos - adds a contrast. You should have done the block in an outrageous pink, high visibility yellow or something. All purple is so middle class. You are doing great on the rest of it, it took me about a month to get mine back together.

Well I have been distracted again. I was so enjoying reading of your progress, seeing the pics of the motor parts sent me to the parts store to get a more fulfilling dose. THEN someone had to interject that pic of the those feet, and calves suffering with those tacky shoes on. Now I am obsessed with locating that poor soul and resuscitating her with hours of foot massages. Sorry, got to go my NSA contact found her in Chicago.

Oh, just wait till its all back together. I have some highlights to add to the engine yet. I think it will be understated but fashionable.

Re: I was Bored so Pulled the Head on my Yanmar

If anybody in Yanmar's marketing department had a brain (and if they read CF), they would be all over your project. What ad copy! SailerChic rebuilds her Yanmar herself! They have a good-looking, blond, female sailor doing it all herself! (Sorry for the stereotype, but ad guys would use it!). They should be paying you big bucks! They should be putting out a special model Yanmar in purple with hot pink add-ons. They should have been filming the whole thing for a youtube ad. What's $700 in parts compared to what they could get from your ordeal?

But then again, I guess they would rather just charge you twice for shipping the parts and let it go at that. Corporate marketing and customer care at its best.
