Help on a mysterious leak on MDKBH Onan generator

Hello,

I ran out of ideas so I thought one of you fine gentlemen would help me if familiar with the model of my generator, the 4/5kW Onan/Cummins MDKBH.
It is leaking a bit of diesel while running from UNDER the drip pan. At least that is what I can see, even if there are no lines hiding under there.

Facts :
- I can see the fuel filter, the pump, the injectors and I believe all the fuel lines : no leaks from there and I made sure the clamps are tight;
- When sliding a paper towel on the dripping pan as a way to detect where it coming from, I get no fuel;
- The leak doesn't occur when priming the generator.

Thanks a lot

Late reply here but I caught your post when searching for something else. I think there is a bulkhead fitting for the fuel line at the back of the gen enclosure. Could that be the source of your leak?

Re: Help on a mysterious leak on MDKBH Onan generator

Thanks Garrett

There is a bulkhead next to the genset and yes fuel line are coming out of it to feed it. But I layed thin paper towels everywhere around the genset before leaving it running about 30 minutes. It doesnt flow out from underneath the bottom enclosure. Still a mystery to this day : eveything runs well but I am leaving a diesel/oil absorbent pad next to it as the leak is minor. After taking every part that I know apart and spending several days on that issue, I don't know what else to do...
