Help me Identify Missing Bolt Bottom of Fuel Filter Perkins 4.108m

I got a diesel smell when running my 4.108. I found a drip coming from the bottom of the engine mounted fuel filter, I feel a hole where a bolt goes in the center of the bottom of the filter housing. Anybody got a spec or size of this bolt. Been digging around in engine compartment looking for it but so far no luck. Also does it have a seal on it? Thanks back to digging thru bilge.

An engine model might help. Is this the bolt that holds the filter housing on? Photos would also help.

On my Perkins 4-108, (1985) the engine mounted fuel filter is bolted through the top of the assembly. There is a raised area in the bottom part of the assembly, but it is not a hole for a bolt. You might be getting leakage from one of the seals for the filter element, or the fittings for the fuel lines.

Its a lowline 4,108 with the filter mounted on the starboard side of the engine. filter number is 26561117. Its been a year since filter change , i just dont remember the details except yes the bolt on center top removes the filter. Its time for a filter change so I guess Im gonna take it apart and go from there. I was just going to head out so I was hoping for a quick fix that wouldnt require the bleeding and run to the parts store, tomorrows another day and there will be more weather windows.

Thanks much for the parts pdf, looked for quite a while for that with no results. Will be saved printed and added to boats manuals and info kit. While Im at it will change exchanger zinc, touch up paint etc... things I should have done already anyway. thanks all.

Also will find out whats up with that hole, Dont remember bolt or hole being there before but maybe its just fading memory;

It sounds like a water/sediment drain.it'll have a little"wing" on either side.You turn it in to close it,out to drain it.I've got Racor filters that have a clear bottom so you can see water that will sink to the bottom.
