help in removing thermostat housing

the engine is a kubota v1305..I need to remove the thermostat housing to replace the leaking gasket..trouble is it appears the water pump housing needs to be removed also to get at the attaching bolts..do we have anyone with this engine model and how best to tackle this job ....
