We are looking to buy a 41 foot president with twin ford lehman deisels, 240 HP.
what kind of fuel consumption should we expect when cruising about 7-8 knots?

Re: fuel consumption

Your President probably weighs about 30,000 lbs. It will take about 60 hp to push a 30,000 lb semi-displacement trawler to hull speed of about 8 kts. Lehman's make about 16 hp per gph. You should burn a little more because of twins, so about 4 gph.
