frozen motor

Ran my perkins 4-108 for an hour last time I was on boat in December, ran great. back on the boat today and motor is seized. no water in oil. used breaker bar and pipe on pulley to try to manual turn and didn't budge. I could get an even bigger pipe but don't want to break rings. I'm assuming rings are seized to block but doesn't make sense why they would be.

I assume best plan now is remove infectors and put some liquid wrench or similar into cylinders?

In December I installed new heat exchanger, tube bundle, exhaust elbow, rebuilt water pump">raw water pump. Like I said, ran engine for an hour and all was good at that time.

Ideas?

yeah, put something in the cylinders.. diesel, kerosene etc. let it sit. Bummer.
Is it possible a new gasket is letting coolant or raw water in the head somehow... I agree doesn't make sense...

Pull the injectors and try again. I bet coolant leaked and filled one of the cylinders. First rule of trouble shooting "what did touch before the trouble began?"

pulled the head and it had water. Pulled the engine..

Well at least you gain the experience?!? That is a serious bummer. Any idea what went wrong?

Did you check the anti siphon valve prior to the exhaust injection elbow?

It was coolant in the head, not raw water (so anti-siphon not the culprit). Mechanic said the head was cracked inside (not visible on the outside of the head). Planning on doing a complete overhaul on the engine.
