Four-Stroke Motor Oil - What Is it ?

we are currently sailing in a location that does not have a lot of marine stores and I would really like to change my motor oil. Can I use regular 10w 30 or do I need to stick with marine outboard oil?

Marine Four-Stroke Oil (“FC-W”)
NMMA - FC-W™ Four-Stroke Oil Certification Program

If unable to source 'Marine' oil, reduce your change intervals, to account for early degradation. Revert to "FC-W" oil as soon as it becomes available.

What type of engine to you have? If your questions is: if you can mix regular 10w 30w oil in your gasoline for a two stroke outboard. DON'T DO IT!!
