Hi Doug, I flooded the engine
with raw water
, caught it pretty quickly. Got all of the water
out. Then got it restarted. I couldn't get a FNM oil filter
so I used one of the Yanmar
filters I had left from the old engine. It ran beautifully. We were already to sail off into the blue yonder. My wife checked the oil
level and it was full of water
. Only the crankcase, not the pots. I pumped all of the gunk out and turned it over with new oil
and pumped it out. There was a pin hole in the oil cooler at the filter housing. Hopefully soldering that up today. Then I need to get the correct oil filter
Ive had a radiator tester on it all night and it dropped 8lbs pressure.
Do you know where I can source a filter? THT Perth don't have them and the number the CMD factory sent me doesn't cross reference with any Aussie book.
So I need a oil filter before I try anything else.
